Since 2018, Asus has changed the software implementation of its devices, abandoning the bloated ZenUI in favor of standard Android. This proves to be a successful strategy when it comes to updating devices. After this change, the company managed to release updates for its smartphones, including flagships, faster. The company recently started rolling out the Android 11 stable update for ZenFone 6 devices in Taiwan. Now the firmware is finally reaching global and European devices. Both versions have the same build number 18.0610.2011.107 - the global version has a WW prefix and the European version has an EC sign.
The new firmware update adds all the features introduced in Android 11. Including one-time permission management, message history, improved security, chat bubbles and much more. The company also offers a redesigned ZenUI interface, but it still has stock Android. Users will enjoy full-screen gesture control with third-party launcher support. The changelog is the same as the Taiwanese version of the firmware.

Interestingly, the company has yet to release the first Android 11 beta for the 7-launched ZenFone 2020. The Asus ZenFone 6 launched in 2019 with Android 9 Pie and has already received its second major Android update. We're not sure if the device will make it to Android 12 next year. However, it's nice to see that Android 11 has arrived.
Asus ZenFone 6 became the company's first flagship equipped with a flip camera mechanism. It's a flagship thanks to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor, but there are some drawbacks, such as the IPS LCD screen. The device is equipped with a massive 5000 mAh battery and a flip-up camera, which makes it one of the best devices for selfie photography.
