ASUS presents video cards based on the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics processor. The novelties are included in five lines: ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, ASUS Dual, ASUS Dual MINI and ASUS KO GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

ROG Strix: take off!

Video cards of the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 30 series contain a large number of innovations in the design of the cooling system. The three Axial-tech fans are protected by a new casing with metal elements. The 13-blade central fan uses a full-height restrictor ring that helps the fan create increased static pressure and boost airflow between the heatsink plates to the GPU heatsink. The two outer fans have 11 blades each and half-height restrictor rings for improved lateral dispersion and increased air flow through the radiator grille. The turbulence created by the fans is minimized by rotating the central fan in the opposite direction relative to the other two fans.

Taking into account the enhanced air flow, a massive radiator was specially designed, which fills most of the 2,9-slot-thick video card case. MaxContact technology, which means high-precision polishing of the surface of the base of the radiator, helps to increase the efficiency of heat transfer from the graphics chip to the radiator. Having a smoother surface than conventional radiators, the base of such a radiator provides an increased contact area with the microcircuit, which means better heat transfer. In addition to the cooling system, the improvements also affected the element base: high-quality capacitors, chokes and power modules without problems produce hundreds of watts of power in a matter of milliseconds. ROG Strix GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards use Super Alloy Power II components, which are soldered using the exclusive Auto-Extreme automated manufacturing process.

The new video cards have connectors for connecting case fans with PWM control (FanConnect II technology). Changing their speed is based on the temperature of the central and graphics processors, which provides additional air supply or removal for resource-demanding applications. The presence of a Dual BIOS hardware switch allows enthusiasts to quickly select the desired mode with settings corresponding to, for example, maximum performance or minimum noise. Another easy-to-use feature is the built-in voltage monitoring circuit, which allows you to monitor the voltage on the power supply bus. This fast circuit can detect any transients that cause a significant drop in bus voltage. If a problem with the power supply is detected, a red LED lights up, which makes it easier to find the cause of the failure.

Video cards are distinguished by an updated design with support for RGB lighting, which can be adjusted using the Armory Crate utility. An additional level of strength is given to the device by a metal frame, as well as a metal reinforcing plate on the back of the device. The amplifier plate has a wide ventilation hole, through which hot air from the video card is removed by exhaust case fans. A mounting bracket is placed under the GPU, which ensures constant pressure between the chip and the base of the radiator. To protect the ports and secure fastening, the back panel of video cards is made of stainless steel.

TUF Gaming: Reliability guaranteed

TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti video cards provide exceptional power and efficient cooling. The new all-metal casing houses three powerful axial fans with strong double bearings. Turbulence created by the fans is minimized by rotating the center fan in the opposite direction to the outer fans, and at low temperatures all three fans stop completely. Separate GPU and memory heatsinks located below them provide effective heat dissipation and temperature control.

In line with the TUF Gaming concept, the video cards of this line use special Super Alloy Power II components to increase reliability and durability. They are soldered using the exclusive Auto-Extreme automated manufacturing process. To guarantee the perfect performance of the video card, each of them is subjected to an intensive 144-hour test.

The amplifier plate has a wide ventilation hole, through which hot air from the video card is removed by exhaust case fans. Under the GPU is a mounting bracket that ensures constant pressure between the chip and the base of the radiator. To protect the ports and secure fastening, the back panel of video cards is made of stainless steel. The conveniently located Dual BIOS switch allows you to configure a typical graphics card performance profile without using special software.
