The Huami Zepp Z smartwatch will receive NFC and ECG

This year, the market for smart watches and other devices is on the rise. As one of the few segments of mobile technology, it has not been affected by the downturn associated with the coronavirus pandemic. Sales of these products continue to grow. That's why quite a few smartphone manufacturers have expanded their portfolios this year through some mobility. Manufacturers that focus exclusively on this segment are experiencing an extraordinary rise. Among them is the Huami company, which around the middle of this month released its Huami Zepp Z watch. It should be added that this is the most expensive model of this brand.

The Huami Zepp Z watch has really premium features, and perhaps the only thing it lacked when it hit the US market was NFC and ECG support. However, the manufacturer promised that in the future, as soon as the watch receives the appropriate certificates, it will support these functions. Now it seems that, at least for the Chinese market, this watch is certified. Huami Zepp Z is now available in China and supports both NFC and ECG.

Of course, it is also necessary to take into account that due to the added functions, the price of the watch is slightly higher than that for which it is offered on the global market. So, if we take a look at JD.com online store, we will see that the watch is being offered here for 2649 yuan, which is about $403. But at this price, the Zepp Z will only be offered for a limited time, after which their price will increase to 2699 yuan, or about $410. As a reminder, a watch without an ECG is sold on the US market for $349. And if there will be an updated global version or the ECG watch will be sold outside the Chinese markets, we will be able to get a general idea of their price. Let's add that the Chinese version also differs from the global version in terms of dimensions, which are 46,6 × 46,3 × 10,75 mm. The dimensions of the global version are 45,9 × 45,9 × 10,75 mm. Except for this difference, the other specifications are the same.
