EMUI 11 will be released for nine Huawei and Honor smartphones

Huawei has started distributing the first beta version of EMUI 11 for smartphones of the flagship Huawei Mate 20 series, released in 2018.

While the beta is available in China. Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, Mate 20 RS and Mate 20 X 5G users were able to take part in it. EMUI 11 beta 11.0.0.115 firmware includes many new features that are standard in EMUI 11.

By the end of the year, the company plans to update 11 models of Huawei and Honor smartphones and tablets to EMUI 4.0 / Magic UI 37.

In China, EMUI 11 stable is already available for Huawei P40 and Mate 30, nova 6, nova 7 5G, Honor 30, Honor V30 and Huawei MediaPad 10.8 devices.

Huawei continues to roll out the EMUI 11 update, despite the fact that many of the company's smartphone models are moving to HarmonyOS in the next couple of months. This time, the final version of EMUI 11 (also known as MagicUI 4.0 for devices under the Honor brand) went to nine smartphones and one tablet of the company.

The final version of EMUI 11 was released for 9 smartphones. Among them are nova 6, nova 7 5G, Honor 30 and Honor 30 Pro. The full list of updated devices is as follows:

  • Huawei nova 7 5G;
  • Huawei nova 7 Pro 5G;
  • Huawei Nova 6;
  • Huawei nova 6 5G;
  • Huawei MediaPad 10.8;
  • Honor 30;
  • Honor 30 Pro;
  • Honor-30 Pro +;
  • Honor V30;
  • Honor V30 Pro.

At the moment, the final version of EMUI 11 / MagicUI 4.0 for these devices is available in China, but will be released in other countries soon. An important point is that it is installed only on top of EMUI 10.1.

Recently, in an interview, one of Huawei's official representatives announced that the company is preparing for the fact that the user interface EMUI 11 may be the last in the series of firmwares of the manufacturer before switching to its own operating system. So, it is interesting to see which Huawei devices will be updated to EMUI 11.

The company has published a list of models that will soon receive a new version of its user interface. It included 37 devices from Huawei and Honor. Already in November, owners of the flagship series Huawei P40, Honor 20, Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 20 will be able to update to EMUI 11, and for Huawei Nova 7, Nova 7 Pro 5G, Nova 6, Nova 6 5G, Huawei P30 / P30 Pro, Honor V30 / V30 Pro, Honor 30/30 Pro / 30 Pro + and Huawei MatePad 10.8, they will have a beta version of the new firmware.

You can see the full list of models that will receive the update on the company's official timeline. Please note that we are talking about the Chinese version of EMUI 11.

With a high probability, all these devices are the first devices that received the proprietary operating system HongMeng OS (Harmony OS). We will remind you that Huawei plans to transfer its devices to proprietary operating systems. Basically, EMUI11 is a transitional version of the firmware. This will mark the transition of the company's gadgets to its own OS.

Currently, the beta version of HongMengOS 2.0 is ready for various devices, including TVs and smart watches. We expect that this version of the firmware will appear on mobile devices. We are waiting for the company's official comments on this matter.
